About our chicken breeding programs

We are dedicated to developing true dual-purpose color laying chickens, to help us all have pretty egg baskets and build self reliance.

To do this we have established several coops each with their own purpose!

During summer 2026 we will be shifting our breeding groups to better leverage our genetics to both our goals and what our customers want.

Our coop break downs, now and where we are going......

Camp Egg: Currently this coop focuses on a mixed marans based dark and chocolate eggers, as we move forward into to summer this coop will be transition to be a Black Copper Marans and F1 Olive Egger producer.

Camp Forest: Currently this coop focuses on producing various shades of green eggs with speckles, featuring a welsummer rooster over various blue and green laying hens, as we move forward this pen will continue to focus on providing speckled mint, sage, and other green eggers. We will be establishing a backcross line to enhance those speckly genetics!

Camp Blue: Currently this coop focuses on producing BBS Ameraucana and that mission will not change, what will change during our transition is the amount of blue hens included in this pen. Currently heavy in blue birds, we will be readjusting the hen colors to produce a more even spread of blue, black, and splash chicks!

Camp Cluck: Currently this coop focuses on english orpington crosses, with multiple colors and some olive eggers splashed in there, we will be refining this line to include only english orpingtons which will help introduce that large body size into our lines.

Coming Soon Camp ??: This new coop, yet to be named, will be focused specifically on producing Silver Laced Chocolate Orpington. We will also be launching a project within this pen that seeks to cross SLCO with Starlight Green Eggers to produce a light green egg laying bird with beautiful lacing.

Coming Soon Camp ??: This new coop, yet to be named, will be focused specifically on producing Golden Cuckoo Marans. Beautiful birds with great build that will not only produce a lot of eggs, but will bring different levels of pigment to our dark and olive egger programs.
